beautiful pictures! is it difficult to capture the big game? and do you need to stay at some camping place if you have a vehicle with the tents on the roof? Thanks for your advices!

Hello Martin, thanks for commenting on our post. Big game like Elephants, Hippos and Buffalo are easier to spot in many game parks than say Lions and Leopards but if you are lucky (and a lot depends on luck) you could spot many animals in national parks. The majority of national parks will have designated camping spots whether you have a tent on the car or a ground tent. Some are fenced and some are not, it really depends on the park you are going to.

Hi Maggie, interesting article about your trip to Africa. we are 2 persons going to Namibia in July, do you know a good website to book accomodation inside the park, and will we have to book in advance, if we just want to do a 1-day self-drive?

Hello there, as it’s a national park you can go to their website http://www.etoshanationalpark.org/accommodation, just check if it’s over a national holiday (In Namibia and South Africa) as the park could be fully booked during those periods.
